Overview
The Botswana Surgical Society unites surgeons, surgical trainees and allied professionals working to extend safe, timely and affordable surgery across Botswana. Meganest delivered the Society's official website: a professional, content-rich platform that serves three very different audiences at once — prospective members, partners and funders, and the wider public following the Society's outreach work.
Challenge
The Society needed to look and read like a credible national professional body while remaining easy for a small team to update. Content ranged from executive committee biographies and clinical specialty programmes to outreach project write-ups, downloadable resources, a live events calendar and a membership pipeline — all of which had to coexist without overwhelming a first-time visitor.
Solution
We built a structured, self-manageable site around clear sections: Who We Are, Projects & Outreach, Medical Programmes, Education & Training, Events & News, Downloads and Become a Member. An impact band surfaces headline numbers on patients assessed, professionals trained and theatre procedures completed; an interactive month calendar with a countdown highlights the next outreach; and prominent Donate and Become a Member journeys run through the whole site.
Results
The Society now presents a polished national digital front door. Outreach projects such as the Letlhakane multidisciplinary outreach are documented with photography and figures, CME sessions and the Annual Scientific Congress are published as news, and membership, partnership and media enquiries all arrive through the site.
