Overview
The Christ Embassy Ottawa project involved creating a multifunctional website that serves as both an informational platform and a hub for community engagement. The website combines static content with dynamic interactive elements to serve the diverse needs of the congregation.
Challenge
The church needed a platform that could simultaneously provide information to newcomers while serving as a functional portal for existing members. Additionally, they required livestreaming capabilities to reach members unable to attend in person.
Solution
We developed a WordPress-based solution with custom extensions to handle specialized features including a members-only training portal and integrated livestreaming capabilities. The design emphasized accessibility and clear information architecture to serve users of all technical abilities.
Results
The website significantly increased online engagement, with livestreaming viewership exceeding physical attendance during major events. The training portal successfully facilitated numerous online courses, expanding the church's educational outreach beyond physical limitations.
