Overview
The Milkmoovement API project involved creating a robust backend infrastructure for a dairy supply chain management platform. The focus was on building reliable APIs with comprehensive DevOps integration to ensure system stability and data integrity.
Challenge
The dairy industry required a highly available system with zero data loss tolerance. The existing backup solutions were manual and prone to errors, while the deployment process was inconsistent across environments.
Solution
We developed a comprehensive API system using modern backend technologies, integrated with Jenkins for continuous integration and Docker for containerization. Custom shell scripts were created to automate database backups and implement a sophisticated restore system with point-in-time recovery capabilities.
Results
The new API infrastructure significantly improved system reliability, with 99.9% uptime achieved. Automated backups reduced the risk of data loss while the restore functionality minimized potential downtime from hours to minutes in recovery scenarios.
